Kitchen Waste Recycling Service in Somerset

The food waste scheme is being rolled out gradually over the whole district. If your area is changing to this service you will receive a leaflet and food waste caddy informing you of the changes.

Please do not line your container with plastic bags as these do not rot down in the composting process and we will be unable to collect your food waste. You can use newspaper to wrap food or you may wish to purchase approved compostable liners for your food waste containers. To purchase liners you phone 0845 3313313 where a representative will take your payment details.
